of Azerbaijani-American Youth Social Association
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Azerbaijan again
got independence and gained an opportunity to prioritize
internal and foreign policy of the country. Integration
to Euro-Atlantic Structures and strategically partnership
with western countries has been the priority of foreign
policy of Azerbaijan. Over the decade ago Azerbaijani
successfully integrated to the western structures and
joined to the various international organizations.
The relationships between Azerbaijan and the United States
of America can be characterized strategically. Azerbaijan
always supported the United States in anti-terrorism operations,
in the global energy security projects and in attempts
for flourishing the democracy, prosperity and peace in
the world. The both ally countries have the successful
cooperation and partnership in the field of security,
democracy, education, market economy and oil.
Azerbaijani-American Youth Social Association is a non-governmental
and non-profit organization creating activity on the base
of volunteerism principles that unites the international
youth. The main goal of Azerbaijani-American Youth Social
Association is to contribute to the development of relationships
between Azerbaijani and American youth in different areas.
We are working for the acceleration of youth-exchange
and contribute for the active partnership among the Azerbaijani
and American young people and raise the importance of
youth-exchange between two countries into the priority
level. Precisely by developing the youth-exchange and
partnership among the young people of both countries Organization
aimed at development of intercultural integration between
the Azerbaijan and US.
The other mission of Organization is consist of implementation
educational projects and programs among the young people
that deal stimulation of wider youth participation in
development of civil society in Azerbaijan. We have implemented
various educational projects in the rural parts of the
country among the young people for stimulating their active
participation in building democratic civil society in
Azerbaijan. Among our implemented activity exists the
international projects as well which played a big role
in bringing the international and western experience to
Azerbaijan.
We committed to informing and raising awareness of American
and international young people about Azerbaijan, its culture,
values, traditions, history and create a condition for
Azerbaijani young people to actively integrate to the
international community.
All the mentioned activities of AAYSA
serve for uniting the international youth to share and
spread the values of democracy, human rights, rule of
law, freedom and peace across the world. We, as the youth
are the future and in our hands change we want to see
in the world.
