A New Relationship for a New Age

 On March 2010 Azerbaijani-American Youth Social Association is planning to organize a conference on the topic “New Vision in Azerbaijani-American Relationships” which we will devote to the relationships of Azerbaijan and US as the strategically partners and will invite governmental representatives, experts, public figures, representatives of NGOs and think tanks to discuss the prospective and new vision in Azerbaijan-American relationships.

December 08, 2004 the Round Table named “The
role of youth in municipality work and in municipal elections”
within the project of Azerbaijani-American Youth Social
Association entitled “Development of partnership and linkages
between municipalities and young people” being held in
Fizuli district with the financial support of World Bank,
OSI-AF and the USAID through Eurasia Foundation has been

Seminar
 On
09-13 September, 2005 Azerbaijani-American Youth
Social Association with Polish partner Organization “Association
for Civic Initiatives Support” has organized in Baku an
International Contact Making Seminar within the European
Commission Youth Programme titled “How to overcome barriers
of non-EU member states youth NGOs to participate actively
in EU Youth Programme”. In the Seminar have participated
over the 26 young people from UK, Italy, France, Netherlands,
Hungary, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia,
Georgia, Belarusia countries who were representing the
different European youth organizations. >>>
“Supporting
Youth Voting Activities”-Summer Camp in Shaki.
 Azerbaijani-American
Youth Social Association is implementing the last phase
of the project which is being funded be the Royal Norwegian
Embassy in Baku and the Eurasia Foundation through USAID.
Within the project Organization has already conducted
6 trainings in Fizuli, Qusar, Lankaran, Barda, Zaqatala
districts and in Baku with the local young people and
with the active NGO and civil society representatives
from Azerbaijan regions. >>>
“Stimulate
Youth Participation in the Election Process”
 Azerbaijani-American
Youth Social Association successfully completed the US.
Embassy-supported project entitled “Stimulate Youth Participation
in Election Process in 23 villages of Fizuli district”
from June 2003 to November 2003. >>>
“All
Different-All Equal” Campaign
 Within
the “All Different-All Equal” Campaign Azerbaijani-American
Youth Social Association organized Seminar entitled “All
Equal-Not Indifferent-Youth Participation in dissemination
the main components of All-Different-All Equal Campaign”
with the financial support of Council of Europe, European
Youth Foundation. Seminar has been organized on 15-18
April, 2006 in Baku, “Ganclik Youth Tourism and Resource
Center”. In the opening ceremony and in presentation of
Seminar participated representative of Ministry of Youth
and Sport Mr. Farhad Haciyev, executive director of Council
of Europe-Information Centre Mr. Ilqar Ibrahimli, representatives
of youth NGOs and young participants of Seminar. >>>
ANNUAL
PUBLIC REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS-2006
As one of the goals of Azerbaijani-American Youth Social
Association is consist of involvement of youth into the
intercultural integration process through American and
European youth community by establishing relations between
international youth community members, since the functioning
Association participated in preparation and implementation
of the various international events, seminars and programs
funded by the European Commission Youth Programme and
Council of Europe, European Youth Foundation. Also various
young delegation group of Organization have participated
annually in the below international events and programs
mainly belonging to the after 2005-mid annual report period:

Conference in US, Chicago
As a result of cooperation between Organization and “National
Coalition to abolish the death Penalty” Chairman of Organization
participated in the conference toward the Human Rights
that took place in the USA, Chicago on 23-27 October 2002.
Visit has been realized with the financial support of
“National Coalition to abolish the Death Penalty”. >>>
