ANNUAL PUBLIC REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS-2006

As one of the goals of Azerbaijani-American Youth Social Association is consist of involvement of youth into the intercultural integration process through American and European youth community by establishing relations between international youth community members, since the functioning Association participated in preparation and implementation of the various international events, seminars and programs funded by the European Commission Youth Programme and Council of Europe, European Youth Foundation. Also various young delegation group of Organization have participated annually in the below international events and programs mainly belonging to the after 2005-mid annual report period:

1. Double Study Session “All Different All Equal” New challenges for European youth in a multicultural Europe 10 years after the European youth campaign, European Youth Centre, Strasbourg, 29th May-5 June 2005.
2. SALTO "Measuring Success of Diversity Projects", Leicester, UK, 19 - 24 July 2005.
3. Seminar in Poland, Lublin within the European Commission Youth Programme entitled “Feedback Seminar”. -2006- April 19-24. –Action 5.
4. “Discover Ukraine”, Study Visit to Ukraine, Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa and Donetsk within the European Commission Youth Programme, 23-29, 06.2006.

Organization signed an agreement with the Latvian partner in organizing international youth exchange to be held in Latvia. In November of 2006 year 7 representatives of Organization will participate in this event.

During these some visits, young representatives of Organization prepared the joint projects and signed an agreement on organizing international events in Azerbaijan and on joining Azerbaijan to the international EVS programs and international youth projects of European Commission Youth Programmme. As an example it is possible to note the already organized international Contact Making Seminar in Azerbaijan, Baku with the funding of European Commission Youth Programme entitled “How to overcome barriers of non-EU member sates youth NGOs to participate actively in European Commission Youth Programme”, 09-13 September, 2005.

Also Organization participates in preparation and implementation of long-term EVS programs and projects in different European Union countries as the partner Organization and from the next year will begin to host and send volunteers to the different European countries and organize the long-term trainings in Azerbaijan on EVS issues.
